Although they are sturdy and protective, most retail boxes are shipped flat for ease of storage and economy in postage, but they are designed to be extremely easy to assemble and prepare for sales.
Standard
gift boxes come in two forms, with a one-piece
"quick lock" bottom and a flap lid or two-piece top and bottom construction. They are available in
white,
natural kraft,
gloss colors,
kraft tints, or linen foil varieties. Made from up to 100% recycled paperboard, natural and cozy kraft tan gift boxes are the best value gift boxes. Linen foil and high-gloss gift boxes are the most elegant. Of course, all these varieties are greatly enhanced by the addition of
tissue, tissue shred, or a bow.
Whereas gift boxes are suitable for larger, bulker purchases such as ornaments or ceramics, apparel boxes (as their name implies) are perfectly suited to clothing.
Apparel boxes come in a range of sizes: smaller sizes accommodate gloves and other diminutive items, larger boxes hold shirts, sweaters, jackets, and even bedding. As with gift boxes, apparel boxes are available in a variety of colors and finishes. Most popular are
plain and elegant white apparel boxes, which can be ordered in several materials and finishes (
white kraft,
white economy, and white krome) at different price points.
For those items - such as ties, hats, handbags, and travel luggage - which do not fit easily into standard gift boxes or apparel boxes, we carry made-to-order tie boxes, hat boxes, handbag boxes, and luggage boxes. Our specialty box section also includes high wall boxes, which are sturdier and have shallow lids than gift boxes. Although they store flat, high wall (or hi-wall) boxes have the appearance and quality of traditional two-piece set-up boxes, making them ideal to present high-end merchandise. Pillow boxes present another alternative for retail packaging and make great promotional boxes.
At the smaller end of the retail box spectrum lie
